CVS Beauty Clearance Hauling

I have been hitting up the CVS Beauty clearance pretty hard over the last few days, it started Friday, May 17, 2013 and I think it will continue for quite a while. I have done really well with combining coupons with the sale to get some amazing steals. I have to credit the blog www.nouveaucheap.blogspot.com for alerting me to the start of this amazing sale. I haven't brought myself to pick up anything that isn't 75% off yet, but I was looking at the CoverGirl Olay concealer pots that are 50% off. I did get some duplicates, which I plan on sharing with my family. Who doesn't love a random eyeshadow palette or lipgloss?

Without further ado, here is my recent haulage that I got for a total of $7.53:

Almay Cear Complexion concealer + treatment gel in Light
2 Almay Wake-Up Blush + Highlighter in Pink
2 Almay Wake-Up Eyeshadow + Primer in Exhilarate
2 Almay Wake-Up Eyeshadow + Primer in Invigorate
3 Almay Wake-Up Eyeshadow + Primer in Revive

Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Polish in Provence

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Coral Reef
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Peach Petal
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pearl Plum
2 Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Pop
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Whisper
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Shine City

Rimmel GlamEyes HD Eye Shadow Quad in English Oak

No real opinions yet on anything, with the exception of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses which I already know I like, I only have every bought Peach Petal, but I have already been using Pink Pop and Coral Reef, and I have always enjoyed Peach Petal. Its a great non-sticky opaque lipgloss.

I do encourage anyone interested in checking out the sales to first check out www.nouveaucheap.blogspot.com for an awesome rundown of what is on sale, as well as looking for any coupons you might have. Don't forget to scan your CVS card, although I think the $4 off of $12 in cosmetics may have just been this weekend.

Friday Haul - This was the most expensive purchase I have done so far with this sale, it was without coupons, I didn't have any of the Almay coupons, just $3 in extra bucks and a CVS printout for $4.00 off $12.00. And I am so excited to have gotten a variety of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss shades, I don't even mind that this was my big splurge. Even as a big splurge, it was only $5.90 out of pocket, thanks to the $3.00 extra bucks.

Rimmel GlamEyes HD Eye Shadow Quad in English Oak (not pictured - gave it to my sister over the weekend)

Sunday Haul - This was my least expensive purchase, even the cashier said "You can't beat that can you?" when the total rang up as $0.38 (and really I was just paying tax on products) and honestly I don't think I could. This is why I didn't mind picking up some duplicates because I know that for practically free I can share my love of makeup with my family and friends.

Almay Wake-Up Eyeshadow + Primer in Invigorate
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Shine City

Monday Haul - I must say this was a pretty awesome purchase too, and I am really excited to try the Revlon Colorstay nail polish, as I have never tried of those. I really like my "regular" Revlon brand nail polishes so I have high hopes. This purchase was $1.25 and I would have spent that just on the nail polish to try it out, especially since it's regularly $7.99.

The total retail without discounts (pre-tax) is $164.61, so in Michigan the sales tax alone on these would be $9.88 and I didn't even spend that much. Of course, I wouldn't have bought all (or perhaps any) of these items at full-price without any sort of discount because that is my self-imposed rule, there are a handful of exceptions, such as Neutrogena products, which never seem to go on sale or have coupons but if I can help it, I always try to hold out for buy one, get one 50% off, or other various deals.
