Shopping My Collection - Vacation House Makeup

I am getting ready for a long weekend in Florida over Labor Day. This year my mom purchased a condo on the Gulf of Mexico. This will be my first time visiting since the purchase, and I am going back again in November for Thanksgiving. I decided I would take some products down to keep down there so that I have less to bring back and forth with me every trip.

Keep in mind, I am doing this by taking products I already own, so its in line with the "shopping my collection" instead of shopping when I get down there or bringing a full makeup bag back and forth, I figured what better way to ensure I get use out of my less frequently used products.

You will see I have quite the collection of color products. Some neutral eyeshadows, with some less neutral and more out there colors. But I really love the look of the blue eyeshadow as a liner look, and the purple is great as a light dusting all over the lid.

I plan to bring down my foundation and concealer products, as well as primer and lipstick/gloss/balm.

Shopping my Collection - August 2013

Lately, I have been working on shopping my stash and using up some items. I think I have been doing pretty well with my efforts, and although I am not doing a "traditional" project 10 pan, I decided that writing about it might keep me more committed to this.  I collected together some of the items I would like to use up above, although this is not all inclusive of the products I am working my way through.

I am a part of the Influenster program, in which you are chosen to be part of a testing crew on new products based on your interests, etc. The most recent box is the Glamour Look by Mary Kay® that included 5 different products that I have had the chance to try out.

I have been using the products a lot lately for an everyday eye look and find that the products are great for an all day, no muss, no fuss, eye enhancing look.

July 2013 Monthly Favorites

July 2013 was a very busy and fun month. My birthday is July 11, and I turned 30 this year, which at first was frightening, but has really been great. I have a bought a couple of things that I am really liking and also started rediscovering some older favorites. I have two daily makeup bags that I keep packed, with the essentials to do a full face on the go.
