NOTD: OPI for Sephora Almost Famous

This manicure is OPI for Sephora Almost Famous. This a great metallic gold/silver with shimmer. I have this in a mini size from a holiday collection. It appears all the OPI for Sephora nail polishes are being discontinued as they are on sale for 50% off on Sephora's website. I must say this color started to increase in favor as a wore it. I found that there was a slight purple tint that I really enjoyed. I ended up adding Julep Vivien to my "accent" nail a few days in and I really liked the look of this together.

Color: This color is beautiful, its a metallic pewter with a micro-silver and micro-gold shimmer. Slight purple undertone to this polish, which made it more suited to my cool undertones.

Formula/Application: The consistency of smooth, not gritty at all despite the shimmery/glittery look. It's a bit sheer and this look took three coats.

Wear Time: I got pretty good wear out of this polish. I like the durability of OPI for Sephora polishes, and I am sad to see that they are being discontinued.

Would I repurchase? I like this color and for a minute while browsing on Sephora's website, I considered picking it up 50% off for the full size, but I really do not wear metallic colors that often, and although I like it, I just don't see myself purchasing. I prefer either cream finish or full out glitter finish.

Influenster: Palmolive® soft touch Review

I am a part of the Influenster program, in which you are chosen to be part of a testing crew on new products based on your interests, etc. This time, I got to check out the new Palmolive® soft touch dishwashing liquid. What was really awesome is that they provided two different dishwashing liquids - so that you can share with a friend! I was happy to share mine with a friend, who like me lives in an older bungalow and doesn't have a dishwasher, so I knew the dishwashing liquid wouldn't go unloved. As well, several coupons were sent in the box too. I shared those with co-workers and also gave one to someone at the grocery store and recommend the new Palmolive soft touch dishwashing liquid when I was shopping. I always love sharing coupons/deals with other shoppers.

I included a picture of my manicure after washing some dishes too, just to show off how my nails didn't get beat up by washing with this product. That can be a pain. I really like the Palmolive brand, I was using the Pure and Clear prior to getting this to try out with Influenster. I have bought the Pure and Clear many times. I like that it doesn't have any extra scent added. And I think that's one of the reasons that I also enjoyed this Vitamin E soft touch. It doesn't have any overpowering scent. I also like that in addition to not having any drying quality, this soap really did moisturize my skin! :) I think I will check out another scent when I run out, the

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

NOTD: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Mermaid's Tale

This manicure is a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Mermaid's Tale. I love the effect of this polish, although it was quite the mess to remove and didn't last that long. I am thinking it might be good for a pedicure, or for occasion nails. I just purchased Mermaid's Tale a couple of weeks ago when there was an ECB bonus on Sally Hansen at CVS.

Color: Mermaid's Tale is a very cool blue and green glitter with a colored base. This glitter is unique, and I like the variance in the glitter size. I referred to this manicure as my "Rainbow Fish" manicure, because to me the larger glitter looks like metallic blue/green scales on a fish.

Formula/Application: The consistency of Maya is pretty average/thick and applies very smoothly. With one coat, it gives a sheer jelly-like consistency. I did two coats for this look, and there is still a jelly-like sheerness to the polished look, I can see the nail line with two coats on. This polish finishes with a nice shine on its own, although I always add a top coat to maintain lasting power.

Clarisonic Mia

I bought the Clarisonic Mia in Teal at the end of March, during the Ulta 20% sale.  I went with the original Mia, I don't think that I need anything other than 1 speed, and I figured it was best to go with the most reasonably priced model as this is something new to me.

I had been using the Olay Pro-X brush previously, which I have since given to my sister to give a go. I think it was really good at giving a basic exfoliation of the skin, and it left my skin feeling very soft, but it was not doing enough for me.

NOTD: Zoya Maya

This manicure is a Zoya Maya. I think its a great light and bright spring color. And it appears that coral is a hot color again this year. I purchased Maya over a year ago.

Color: Maya is a buildable orangey coral color. The color is unique to my nail polish collection.

NOTD: Revlon Colorstay in Bold Sangria

This manicure is a Revlon Colorstay in Bold Sangria. I think its a great deep purple color, not really spring appropriate, but I just bought it on clearance in the CVS beauty sale, so I wanted to test it out.

Color: Bold Sangria is an opaque deep purple with an almost brown undertone to it. I love this sort of almost black color, I think it looks good on my short nails and with my light skin tone, although I think it is best in the fall and winter.
